Welcome to Talk London
Talk London has been created by the Greater London Authority as a place to discuss London's big issues. But this isn’t just a talking shop. We want your opinions to help us steer the big policy decisions of the future – from those affecting London’s young people, transport, safety and policing, to health, housing and the environment.
We, and others, have started a number of discussions that may be of interest, so get stuck in, or start a conversation of your own.
Register here to get talking.
The Talk London Team
Many of you have told us you think high streets are for more than just shopping - that they're also places to socialise, with cafes, restaurants and pubs open day and evening.
Do you live on or near a high street? Do the benefits of all of these things close by outweigh the disadvantages? Tell us what you think.
The London Assembly has published its report into the scale and impact of cyber-crime like card fraud and identity theft in London.
This makes recommendations for tackling these problems and includes contributions from Talk London members. Read more on our blog.
Over 500 of you took part in our February Talking Points survey to tell us your feelings on growth of the capital, help us shape a new housing app, and talk to us about exercise.
A big thank you to those who joined in. Here’s what you told us.
Health in London
The Mayor's London Health Commission made recommendations for the capital in October. Many of you fed your views in here on Talk London to help shape these.
Here's our article on the Mayor's response, covering smoking in major public spaces and more.
